As part of our commitment to corporate Community Engagement, we are very proud to have established the ATOM Community Engagement (ACE) Fund. We appreciate the opportunity given through the ACE Fund to give back and support the wider community that has enabled us to become one of Australia’s leading Industrial Supply companies.

The ATOM Community Engagement Fund is operated by a Corporate Trustee and is a Public Ancillary Fund. Pursuant to the trustees’ constitution, the ACE Fund is able to allocate funds raised to Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) certified organisations focused on 3 key areas;

  1. Indigenous youth education and youth-to-work projects
  2. Indigenous health initiatives and community engagement
  3. Men’s and women’s cancer prevention and care

How Your Business Can Get Involved

You can work with ATOM to direct any contributions you make directly to Traditional Owners or other communities from which your business benefits, or to charitable causes of your choice. Speak to the ATOM team to discuss how best to maximise your ACE Fund contributions.

ATOM in the Community

ATOM believes in supporting the communities and regions that have assisted us in becoming one of Australia’s leading industrial and safety supply companies. Each of ATOM’s warehouses supports their local communities through their own sporting, cultural and charity programs and initiatives as well as the economic benefits that result from our business operating in the area. Through our community engagement strategy, we endeavour to provide an enduring economic benefit to youth education and youth-to-work programs.

Working with Intellectually Impaired Australians

ATOM is proud to announce our new community initiative providing youth education and youth-to-work programs for Australians with Special Needs & Intellectual Disabilities. We have a strong focus on supporting Australians with Autism and spreading Autism awareness and look forward to continually becoming further involved within the Autism community. Partnering with organisations such as Nova Employment who support people with Autism, our programs allow us to work towards creating a better future and more opportunities for people living with disabilities in the community. Through these initiatives, we aim to enrich the ATOM culture and provide meaningful opportunities across our branches.

Our foundation program has four key focus areas:

  1. Work Experience
  2. Transition To Work
  3. ATOM Trainees
  4. ATOM Employment

Our entry-level roles include work within site facilitation, embroidery management, warehousing and showroom stocking. Each role has the opportunity for an exciting career path within ATOM and we look forward to tracking the many lives that will change through our programs. We also appreciate that the real reward will be how interacting with the recipients enhances our working culture and promotes diversity within our workforce.

Working with Indigenous Australians

We are constantly seeking to further align ourselves with initiatives that support Indigenous communities in not only our regional branch locations but throughout Australia. ATOM is proud to be working closely with the GO Foundation to provide youth-to-work opportunities for Indigenous Australians throughout our national branch network. Integrating our business with such initiatives allows us to actively engage with groups that work towards creating a better future and more opportunities for the Indigenous community.

We look forward to sharing more about our community involvement and responsible business practices as these initiatives progress and would like to take the opportunity to thank the communities that have supported us and helped us grow throughout our journey.
