Uses for Barrier Creams

Protecting Skin in the Workshop

Hard working hands come in contact with an array of substances such as detergents, soaps, oils, greases and chemicals. Over time these substances can strip the skin of its natural oils, causing dryness, cracked skin and in severe cases, contact dermatitis. This can leave hands feeling sore, itchy and red.

Protect the skin on your hands by using an industrial barrier cream. Barrier cream creates a

physical barrier that locks in skins natural moisture while repelling outside contaminants.

IMPORTANT: Although helpful, barrier cream does not replace fit-for-purpose gloves.

How to Apply Barrier Cream

Use barrier cream immediately after washing hands, paying particular attention to fingers and

fingernails. Allow to dry before starting work. Reapply after washing hands or as needed. As barrier creams are designed to be used before work they are less greasy than household moisturisers, ensuring better grip and manual dexterity.

ATOM Safety Recommend ICT’s B-10 Barrier Creams

Industrial Cleaning Technology's (ICT’s) formula is non-greasy, so hands can get to work straight after application without the risk of accidental slips that have the potential to cause serious injury. Made from quality high-end cosmetic ingredients, B-10 deeply conditions and repairs dry, cracked skin; the better conditioned the hands, the less likelihood there is of an infection or further injury. B-10 is gentle and pH neutral so it can be used by all skin types, even already damaged hands. In fact, B-10 aids the healing process, containing sanitisers used to help protect cuts from infection. ICT’s B-10 barrier creams are available in 250ml, 1L and 5L quantities making them suitable for any work site.
