The blind allegiance that ALP councillors must exhibit at this very local level is party politics at its demonstrable worst. If we are to take this opportunity to clear the stench of corruption, then the Iemma government and ALP machine must axe the political mind control in local government. But don't believe for a moment it will do so. Fancy that, politicians surrendering an atom of power.
